I’m Pastor Matt Krause, and my passion is helping people grow in the light of Christ. I am excited about how God has blessed my young family at Faith Lutheran Church with the ability to grow with other families. Our goal at Faith is to provide an environment where all people feel comfortable, supported, and loved just the way God meant them to be. I encourage you to check out Faith Lutheran Church. I have been an Adel resident most of my life. I have been leading worship ministry for more than 2 decades. I started seminary in the Fall of 2023. I enjoy the outdoors, including fishing, hunting and watching football with my wife and 3 daughters.

It Is a joy to work with youth of all ages. I love Jesus and youth. I enjoy walking besides youth to help them follow Jesus through every step in their life. I want to help youth grow stronger in their faith, as well as equip them to be able to show others who Christ is in their own life. In my free time, I love spending time with my husband, Austin and our two goldendoodles, Bella and Bailey. In our free time, my husband and I enjoy attending sporting events, playing board games, and trying out new restaurants.

I have been a lifelong member at Faith. I have been helping with the music ministry for many years, served on the youth board for 10 years when my girls were active. I intentionally worked locally while our girls were growing up, so I could have quality time raising them. I coached 12 seasons of Soccer and softball. I  was a part of opening  3 new banks in WDM, Granger and Peoples Bank in Adel.
I worked 10 years at ADM schools as accounts payable and receivable.  I enjoy meeting new people that come to Faith and the relationships in our congregation.

Kylee Henderson graduated from Pittsburg State University with a BS in Early Childhood Development. She has had experience working in various early childhood settings with ages birth to 12 years old. Kylee became the preschool director in 2018 and is the lead teacher for all 3 classes.

Anna Boot graduated from Simpson College with a BA in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood and Reading. She has many years of experience working in Christian preschools with 2-5 year olds. Anna joined Faith's Flock in 2022.

I live in Adel with my wife Carrie, our three kids Emma, Owen, and Noah. I grew up in Adel and graduated from ADM. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as an Elder here at Faith Lutheran Church. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Some of my hobbies include watching hockey and baseball, playing various computer games, and collecting coins and cards.
For my career, the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to buy and open a franchise business in 2019. The business, called “Fibrenew”, provides restoration of furniture, car interiors, and other items. Before Fibrenew, I spent 18 years doing on-site IT hardware support for a national pharmacy chain. I’m thankful that in both lines of work I have been able to use my gifts to do two of my favorite things, fixing stuff and helping others.

My family and I moved to De Soto in the summer of 2022 and started attending church at Faith. I am a forester for the United States Forest Service and we have had the opportunity to live and work in a number of beautiful areas. I am originally from the area and have been blessed with the opportunity to move back home, reconnect with people from my past, and be close to my parents.

My name is Tom Persinger, and I have been an elder here at Faith for about 3 years. I currently run the Tuesday Night Basketball for Adults and teach Adult Bible Studies occasionally. I am a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Davenport, Iowa, and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Utica, Michigan. My wife and I joined Faith Lutheran 4 years ago. I have been married to my wife (Janice) for 39 years and have one daughter (Amber) who is married to Paul, and they are the parents of our 2 grandchildren (Finn and Ezra). They live five houses down from us in Waukee. We have one son (Tyler) who lives in Iowa City with his wife (Dusty).

I have been an Elder at Faith Lutheran Church since 2019. I currently work as a groundskeeper for a local school district. I enjoy this line of work because I enjoy being outdoors. I also enjoy spending time with my family that lives in the area, especially when we are able to get together and play card and board games. Another thing that I enjoy is what technology allows you to do, so I am the leader of the Audio Visual Group for services. Lastly, for those that don’t know me, yes, I am related to Joanne Smith, the organist.
